Welcome to my counseling space! I’m Dr. Caron Leid, licensed with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP), and I’ve been immersed in the field of counseling since 2003.
My journey, shaped by experiences as an informal caregiver for two decades and navigating the complexities of single parenthood, has fueled my understanding of life’s challenges. A passionate advocate for Alzheimer’s disease awareness, I’ve shared insights at conferences on caregiving.
From youth caseworker to teaching at Sheridan College, my diverse background enriches my approach. Additional training in grief, hospice, life-coaching, and more allows me to address various issues—relationships, divorce, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
As a counselor, I thrive on providing authentic, compassionate, and insightful support. I believe our past shapes us but doesn’t dictate our future. With the right tools, empathic support, and personal determination, we can live life to the fullest.
Beyond my private practice, I actively contribute to committees advocating for caregivers and patient engagement. As a Senior Learning & Development consultant, I assist companies in training and development initiatives.
Life is full of challenges, and I’m here to help you navigate them. In therapy, we’ll work together to harness your emotions and thoughts, allowing you to take ownership of your life. Resiliency is a skill we can all acquire. My goal is to normalize mental health therapy—making it affordable, effective, and practical for you to lead a more enriched, productive life.
Book a free consultation today, and let’s embark on a journey to remove the barriers that stop you from being your best self.
